Dolls must be the oldest of toys having been played with by children for millenia. Rag dolls used to be made by mothers for their children and even now there are doll making kits so you and your child can create a ballerina doll or maybe a princess. And of course there are readymade rag dolls beautifully detailed and bound to be a loved friend for life. Toy dolls are even bought by collectors, but their play value for children should never be overlooked.
