This week marks 25 years since Jonathan & Shirley Copeland launched Mulberry Bush Ltd.  Founded in 1996, we specialise in traditional and innovative toys, gifts & games for children up to the age of about 12.  Now led by son Paul Copeland, over the years, Mulberry Bush has despatched over two million toys to children across the UK and beyond.

As a family business we know how important good old-fashioned service is to our customers – everyone in our team takes great satisfaction in this.  Our friendly team know our broad product range well and are always happy to help customers find the right gift for our customers’ children.

Tania, our Buyer and chief in-house cake-maker(!), made us an amazing cake to help us celebrate our 25th birthday – pictured here in our warehouse, with some members of our team.  The scaled-down icing sugar ‘toys’ look amazing and taste even better!

Since those early days we have grown steadily, acquiring a number of businesses along the way, including Letterbox a few years back.  We’ve come a long way since we began when we operated out of a spare room from our old family home!  We continue however to be operated entirely from Sussex, but nowadays in our dedicated office and warehouse.

Our guiding principle has always been to select the type of toy and gift that parents remember with fondness from their own childhood and that grandparents will want to buy for their grandchildren.  We specialise in colourful, well-made toys, many of which are wooden and often hard to find.  Our range of personalised gifts for children has been a major focus for us recently, children just love to receive items with their names on them!
