Delivery Charges
All charges assume delivery to one address in the UK. For orders to Channel and Scilly Isles, Isle of Man, BFPO, Eire and all other countries (except USA,  Canada and Switzerland) we charge delivery at cost + £2.50 administration fee, and will quote this price by e-mail to you before completing your order. ***  See Table below for maximum delivery costs to certain countries

Despatching of Goods
We try to despatch all orders as quickly as possible.  As at October 2009 orders are taking a few days longer than usual - 7 to 10 days - because our Christmas Rush has started early.  However if your order is needed for an imminent birthday or christening,  please tell us the date required in the comments section of the shopping basket, e-mail or phone us and we will do everything possible to ensure we meet your deadline.

Once the order leaves us we use a 48 hour delivery service in the UK (a little slower to the Highlands of Scotland) or Royal Mail Tracked post. PLEASE NOTE - Larger orders (those not sent by Royal Mail ) will require a signature.  Orders to other countries are despatched just as quickly and arrive as fast as their national postal services allow.

If you are likely to be out we suggest you give an alternative delivery address, such as a work address, or  use the comments section of the order to add a neighbour as a back up. 
PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR ORDERS TO BE LEFT IN THE OPEN, BY THE DUSTBIN, OR WORSE STILL IN THE DUSTBIN !  We have known orders to be delivered on bin day and never seen again !

Overseas Delivery

For orders to Channel Isles, BFPO, Eire and all other countries (except USA,  Canada and Switzerland) we charge delivery at cost + £2.50 administration fee, and will quote this price by e-mail to you before completing your order. *** 

The following table gives an indication of the fixed and maximum delivery cost to certain territories, and applies to one parcel weighing over 2 Kilos, using a fully trackable, ParcelForce Euro 48 hour service.  Maximum weight depends on the territory. 

Lighter items are sent by Ordinary Air Mail post and the price depends upon the actual weight.  Please note that whilst we obtain proof of postage, orders sent by ordinary post are not trackable and we do not accept responsibility for orders that fail to arrive, outside UK.

Orders to other countries are despatched just as quickly and arrive as fast as their national postal services allow.

*** As of October 2007 we regret WE DO NOT DESPATCH ORDERS TO USA or CANADA.  Nor can we send orders over 2 Kg  to Switzerland.  We are happy to send orders placed anywhere in the world to UK addresses where our standard delivery prices apply. 

Christmas Orders

To ensure delivery in time for Christmas
orders must be with us by Friday, 18th December 2009.

Gift Wrapping 
We will be happy to gift wrap your order, where feasible, for an additional £3.00 per item.  Please enter code 55555 as a product and enter, as the quantity, the number of items to be wrapped. (This product code also appears in the Christmas category of the catalogue)  Then please say in the Comments box which items are to be wrapped.  (Please note some items are too large to wrap, but these are generally noted in their descriptions.  Giftwrapping will be with a good quality paper and we will normally attach a rosette).  If you would like us to include a message with your gift, please give the wording in the comments section of the order form or phone us on  +44 (0)1403 790796
