Recycling and WEEE Regulations

We recycle boxes

You may find your order is sent to you in a recycled box. The deliveries we receive from our suppliers come in cardboard boxes and we think it's right they should be recycled wherever possible. It would be such a waste of resources if we were to bin or burn them.

This can mean that your order arrives in a heavier duty box than would otherwise be the case, which has to be good.

It also means we produce less waste

It should mean that wood pulp has a longer life so fewer trees need to be cut down.

We can recycle unwanted electrical items for you when you buy a similar item from us

Although we specialise in traditional and wooden toys and games for children and as such have few electrical or electronic items in our range, nevertheless if you’re buying a new electrical item from us, such as a torch, or anything that carries the crossed-out wheelie bin logo on the packaging, we will recycle your old one free of charge.

Why should you recycle?

Unwanted electrical equipment is the UK's fastest growing type of waste. Many electrical items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment. If you do not recycle, electrical equipment will end up in landfill where hazardous substances could leak out and cause soil and water contamination – harming wildlife and also human health.

If you would like us to recycle an old electrical item that you have replaced by purchasing a similar item from Mulberry Bush Ltd then please e-mail us at enquiries@mulberrybush.co.uk and we will send you instructions for our scheme. Alternatively you may find your local authority or www.recyclenow.com can direct you to a recycling centre near to where you live.
Please note all costs of returning items to us must be borne by you.

The above is in accordance with the The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (or WEEE) Regulations.
